At the Tallinn Digital Summit, a forum for Heads of State and Government from across Europe to discuss digital innovation and Europe’s digital future, the Graphene Flagship showcased the potential of graphene and related materials with an array of interactive demonstrators and prototypes.
27 February - 2 March 2017
The Graphene Flagship and ICFO, with support from the GSMA, presented the Graphene Experience Zone at the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC). MWC is the world's largest gathering for the mobile industry, (with over 100,000 attendees), and was held from 27 February to 2 March 2017 in Barcelona. The Graphene Experience Zone showcased the latest achievements and innovations from the graphene community in an interactive and accessible way.
Under the umbrella of the Graphene Flagship, a number of partners are exhibiting products and prototypes at the Composites Europe 2016 trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The evolution of graphene is happening all around us and its impact on many of the building block components of the mobile industry can be profound. To showcase this, the Graphene Flagship introduced a Graphene Zone at the 2016 edition of Mobile World Congress, 22-25 February 2016, Barcelona, Spain. Alongside with industry and academic co-exhibitors, the Graphene Flagship highlighted graphene in mobile applications, stretching from bendable batteries to new wearables sensors.
Dedicated research has identified many opportunities for graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDC) to be used in various electronic applications. In this workshop, experts in the field highlighted the steps taken forward and addressed key challenges in this quest to enable CMOS-compatible wafer-scale fabrication routes.
